The room itself was good and reasonably well maintained, and the location of the resort is easy to locate with a pleasant scenic view. Unfortunately, everything beyond the room was extremely disappointing and poorly managed. The service was very bad and completely unprofessional. Except for the swimming pool, none of the basic amenities mentioned in the resorts catalog were provided. There was no Wi-Fi connectivity, the television was not working, and no alternative arrangements or explanations were given. Even drinking water was not provided in the room, which is a basic facility offered by even budget hotels. We paid 8000 for the A-frame cabin, but the experience was absolutely not worth the price. Considering the amount charged, the facilities and service were far below expectations. For the same price range, Vagamon has many resorts that offer much better amenities, hospitality, and overall value for money. Another major issue was the lack of communication. The resort did not contact us at all before check-in to provide any instructions or information, which was disappointing and showed a lack of professionalism. During our stay, they also failed to inform us about the non-availability of the amenities they had advertised. When we raised our concerns regarding the poor service and missing facilities, instead of addressing the issues or apologizing, the staff argued with us and placed the blame on us. This response was extremely disappointing and unacceptable in the hospitality industry. Overall, while the room and location were decent, the poor service, lack of basic amenities, absence of proper communication, and unprofessional behavior of the staff completely ruined the experience. I would not recommend this resort, especially considering the high price they charge compared to much better options available in Vagamon.

I recently traveled to J Mount Vagamon with my friends and family, and our stay was truly wonderful. The location is stunning surrounded by misty hills, greenery, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes the whole trip feel refreshing. Its the perfect getaway for groups, families, or anyone looking to relax in nature. The food was excellent throughout our stay. Every dish was fresh, tasty, and prepared with great care. Our group had different preferences, and the resort managed to satisfy everyone. The amenities were well maintained, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. We especially loved the beautiful views from the property and the cozy outdoor areas where we could all sit together and enjoy the weather. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful. Their friendly service and attention made our stay even better, and we truly felt welcomed. Overall, staying at J Mount Vagamon with my friends and family was a memorable experience. Beautiful location, great food, comfortable rooms, and amazing hospitality. Highly recommended! If you're planning a trip to Vagamon, this is a perfect place to stay.

I am genuinely confused about the high ratings for this property and regret booking it at 3,452 per night. In hindsight, I should have paid more attention to the lowest-rated reviews, as they reflect the actual experience much more accurately. Location & View The resort is easy to locate, with only the last few hundred meters being off-road. It is situated about 3 km from Vagamon town, which is reasonable. We stayed in a cottage, and the valley view from the room was excellent. This view is, unfortunately, the only real positive of the stay. Check-in & Hospitality There was no attempt from the property to contact us on the day of check-in, which already set a poor first impression. The check-in experience felt cold and unwelcoming, with no sense of hospitality or care toward guests. The cottage allotted to us was at the bottom of the property. This was not an issue for us, as we are comfortable climbing steps. A property cannot rely solely on a good view. The lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, weak hospitality, and serious safety risks make this stay not worth the price and difficult to recommend. This is a hard pass. Future guests are strongly advised to read the low-rated reviews carefully before booking, as they are far more accurate than the overall rating suggests.

Just spent 2 nights at J Mount Vagamon Resort, and it was a refreshing break from city life in Kerala. The location is magicalperched on misty hills with panoramic valley views from every balcony, perfect for unwinding with tea.Loved: The peaceful vibe, cozy cottages surrounded by greenery, and super friendly staff who helped with local tips. Sunrise views were Instagram gold!Could Improve: Rooms felt a bit damp (common in hills), food options were limited (pre-book only, no restaurant nearby), and the access road has bumpy speed breakersdrive slow!Overall, great for a budget nature getaway if you prioritize scenery over luxury. Never take this stay. We were very disappointed while staying there.They collect the full amount in advance because they know customers will not pay the full amount after checkout. For this amount of money (7500), you will get a far better stay elsewhere. The only good point is that the surroundings are beautiful. Other than that, room service is very poor. Multiple times we contacted them regarding the TV and Wi-Fi, but they did not provide them, even though we were paying extra money for an extra bed, which they also did not provide. When we questioned them at the end, they accused us of speaking loudly at night and not maintaining the room. There was only one small waste basket, so how can we dispose of all the food waste? Any way it was a very bad experience
